Toolbox Tuesday: Google Calendar

It takes a lot to manage a hectic schedule, but with Google Calendar, it’s easy to keep track of life’s important events all in one place. To use you’ll need to create a free Google account. The calendar is available on desktop, iOS and Android devices.

A few reasons to use Google Calendar include:

Share your schedule
You can easily share your calendar with co-workers, family, and friends.  You’ll be able to see your calendar and view schedules that others have shared with you. Adding an agenda to the schedule is easy for you’ll know when everyone is free. Create a deadline calendar, so you and your staff know when important tasks are due.

Get your calendar on the go
You can access your calendar while you’re away from your desk. There are two ways to sync either by downloading the app for your phone or using the mobile web version made for phones and tablet. All events are automatically backed up so you can always see your events on a computer, if needed. You get customizable event reminders that help you stay on schedule and also have the option to be get notified by email.

Send invitations and track RSVPs
Invite others to events on your calendar. Guests can RSVP to your events by email or via Google Calendar and you can keep track of responses all in one place.

As with all software, what works for others may not work for you, so be sure to fully test if you plan to put to use.
